Near Field Communication (or NFC) is used everywhere in today's technology such as access control and mobile payments systems. The NFC Shield features an integrated transceiver module (PN532) which handles non-contact communication on a 13.56MHz carrier. You can use this to read/write 13.56MHz tags or communicate directly with another NFC shield.

This version includes an independent PCB antenna so you can easily relocate it to the exterior of your project enclosure.
