The distribution amplifier is designed to amplify existing signals and to deliver the optimal signal strength through multiple in home connections. When splitting cable, antenna, or VCR signal to multiple devices the distribution amplifier will compensate for some of the signal loss caused by additional equipment or long runs of cable. The amplifier will not enhance a poor existing cable.
