The addition of a Ferrite Bead to a piece of wire causes the impedance of the wire to increase at RF frequencies and acts like a small RF choke. It is possible to dissipate high frequency parasitic signals and attenuate undesirable frequencies that travel on DC circuits by the use of beads. Sold in packages of 12.
